Hungary Program

Hungary is a country lying in the center of Europe sharing borders with seven neighbors: Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Yugoslavia, Croatia and Slovenia. The biggest rivers are the Danube and the Tisza, which divide the country into thirds and the Dráva which forms the south-western border with Croatia. Hungary's climate is temperate, and the country can be divided into three climatic zones: Mediterranean in the south, Continental in the east, and Atlantic in the west.

Children from Hungary are adorable and available through orphanages and foster care all overseen by the Hungarian government. Children range from light skin and blonde hair to olive skin and dark hair. It is very important to the Hungarian Government for perspective parents to form a bond with the adopted child before the adoption is granted. (See Hungarian Adoption Process)

Children available for adoption are many times part of the foster care system in Hungary. Families care for these children in a home setting. Children living in orphanages have a better care giver to child ratio than experienced in other countries. Healthcare in Hungary is better than other Eastern European countries. Procedures like crossed eyes and other minor medical problems are corrected. Some technically difficult procedures more commonly performed in America are needed for some children to correct their health problem i.e.: tubes in ears. These special children are given top priority for adoption to perspective parents willing to adopt children with correctable medical conditions.

The majority of children in orphanages and foster care are 3-6 years old and surprisingly the birth rate of boys are higher in Hungary on average. Children under 2 are available with longer waiting periods. Gypsy children are healthy racially mixed children with Hungarian and Indian heritage are look down upon by society due to their cultural history. Some children have darker olive skin though many resemble Italian or Mediterranean children and are very attractive.  Some children have a unique look with lighter eyes and beautiful golden toned skin.

Travel to and from Hungary is convenient from the United States and many countries throughout the world. Direct flights from America and only two hours by air from London or Paris. Most major Airlines service the country for it is the gateway to Eastern Europe. Americans will not need to travel with your adopted child to another country to obtain the child's Visa for an American embassy issuing Visa's is located in Budapest. Our coordinator will meet you at the airport to introduce you to your new child and will be responsible for all the details associated with your adoption.

Hungary is quickly becoming part of Western Europe with tourism as one ofMVC-045S copy.JPG (56629 bytes) the countries main source of income. Budapest and the Hungarian countryside are favorite destinations for families to vacation and is easy to navigate with limited language barriers.
